Bradley Schwartz to be honored at Tyson’s Corner gala

Reston, VA, June 6, 2012 — Ernst & Young announced the finalists for the 2012 Greater Washington Entrepreneur of the Year Award, naming Blue Canopy President and CEO Bradley Schwartz among them.

Of the honor, Mr. Schwartz said, “Ernst & Young deserves recognition for acknowledging and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit that lives in all of us. Entrepreneurs have been the backbone of America, creating jobs and fueling innovation to make the world a better place.”

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards are held in more than 50 countries worldwide. The award was created to celebrate the accomplishments of the nominees, as well as honor their contributions to the world economy and global communities. Prior winners include Groupon’s Andrew Mason, Dr. Patrick M. Byrne of Overstock.com, Matther Szulik of Red Hat Inc., Tom Adams of Rosetta Stone, and Tim O’Shaughnessy of LivingSocial, among many others.

This year, 1,700 nominees were responsible for inspiring leadership that generated over $235 billion in revenue for their companies and employed nearly 926,000 people. The awards ceremony will be held in late June at the Tyson’s Corner Ritz Carlton hotel.
